American Vulkan will be showcasing its TDS PLAFRIX solution for hybrid propulsion systems, created in partnership with DESCH Canada.
The TDS PLAFRIX is a combination of the pneumatically actuated DESCH PLANOX clutch and the highly flexible Vulkan coupling, the VULASTIK L.
The company says that through this combination of proven and field tested components, the TDS PLAFRIX is a premium solution for propulsion systems.
It can last up to 20,000 hours before overhaul is needed, making it highly cost effective, as well as being environmentally friendly due to omitting less emissions. Due to its pneumatic design, it requires no external cooling devices, no hydraulic pack and no leakages, as well as being light weight and compact (550mm, 26.535in).
American Vulkan Corporation is a subsidiary of the global VULKAN Group. For 125 years Vulkan Group has been developing, producing and marketing innovative solutions for propulsion systems.
